Health Projects

Navigating the benefits system and form filling can feel overwhelming with a long-term health condition. Our team of specialist benefits advisors and caseworkers deliver advice to these clients funded through our local and national partnerships.

Macmillan
Our partnership with Macmillan funds advisors to provide advice and support to those affected by cancer.

Our team provide telephone and face to face appointments, and additionally attend two drop-in sessions at the Macmillan Hub, Gloucester Royal Hospital.

Oncology project
Our advisors attend the Focus centre at Cheltenham Oncology centre four mornings a week delivering advice and support to those affected by cancer.

The team offer telephone and face-to-face appointments, with on-ward and home visits when necessary.

MS Society
Our partnership with the MS Society funds specialist benefits advisors to provide comprehensive advice and support to those affected by Multiple Sclerosis.

LCP Project
North and West Gloucestershire Citizens Advice are part of the Locality Community Partnership Gloucestershire (LCP). NHS mental health services have partnered with local councils, social care, NHS, charities, and organisations to offer personalised and integrated support for mental health patients within the county.

Healthy Homes
The Healthy Homes project funds specialist caseworkers to provide support to vulnerable clients with complex needs who are unlikely to attend or engage with our service through the usual channels. The project receives referrals from variety of health organisations and provides home visits across the county.
